Bladder Campion, Maiden's-tears (Oberna behen, Silene vulgaris), fam. Carophyllaceae.
Quite similar to other Catchflies and Campions, but its calyx is very inflated, and slaps when tapped. The stem is covered with sticky liquid. Decoctions from bladder campion herb are used for gastritis with high acidity, dysentery, kidney and bladder diseases, bronchitis, and as a sedative remedy.
