Serviceberry; Juneberry (Amelanchier), fam. Rosaceae.
   Blooms at the beginning of May, and brings fruit as early as in June. The forest and city varieties have almost no difference in the properties of the fruits, which are similar in structure to Rowan or Black Chokeberry, but much sweeter, practically without astringency. In the forest it prefers not very humid, but not too sunny places.
