Burnet Saxifrage (Pimpinella saxifraga) or Black Burnet-saxifrage (P. nigra), fam. Apiaceae.
The plant is not very typical for DVRZ surroundings; occurs along the shoulder of Popudrenko street and the forest. It is more common in other regions of Kyiv Oblast.
Pinnate leaves, gathered in a rosette, appear in spring. The central flower spike begins to grow in summer, and the inflorescences appear in July.
In cooking, the saxifrage is considered a wholesome substitution for anise and caraway; all its parts are used - leaves, seeds, and roots. It has a high nutritional value, including for the farm animals. It is characterized by a wide range of medical use - for digestion, respiratory tract, kidneys, joints etc.
