Japanese Yellow Rose (Kerria japonica), fam. Rosaceae.
An ornamental plant that blooms in April-May with double yellow flowers, without smell. It is still rare in Kyiv.
The places protected from cold winds, with humid fertile loams and all-day sun, fit the plant's needs best. In severe winters Japanese Yellow Rose can be damaged. That is why its bushes, reaching 3 meters in their motherland (Japan and China), do not exceed 1 meter in Kyiv.
