Milletgrass (Milium effusum)

Milletgrass (Milium effusum), fam. Poaceae.
Perennial grass, occurs in the forest in relatively humid places. Light-green panicles appear in May out of fairly broad curving leaves.
The seeds are edible (like wild millet). The grains milled into flour were baked as bread, and used as feed for poultry.
