Common Bugloss (Anchusa officinalis)

Common Bugloss (Anchusa officinalis), fam. Boraginaceae.
Found near the railways, and also in a garden bed in 4a Alma-Atynska str. In May it looks like shaggy shoots with the rudiments of inflorescences (first photo), then in June the blue flowers open (second and third photos).
Bugloss is considered toxic and capable of negative impact on the liver if consumed internally. That is why it is usually only used externally (for wound and ulcers healing), even though it also has expectorant and soothing properties.
