Yellow wood Anemone (Anemonoides ranunculoides), fam. Ranunculaceae.
Grown in the garden beds of the city – as a rule, in small groups. Occasionally also found in the forest, among the Ramsons grove. Blooms in April. It differs from Snowdrop Anemone by yellow flowers, lower height, and earlier rest period beginning – yellow wood anemone stop their development in June and wait for the next spring as a sleeping rhizome.
