Common False Bartsia (Odontites vulgaris), fam. Scrophulariaceae.
This plant is a hemiparasite: the substances which most plants create "by fair means" from sunshine, air and water, are not ample for it. Common False Bartsia additionally nurtures from the juice of the roots of the neighbor plants, otherwise it grows quite weak.
The Russian name of the plant gives a cue for its use to cure teeth problems (pain, inflammation of the oral cavity). It is also used as a sleep incuding, laxative, expectorant, hepatoprotective remedy, reduces blood tension.
