Summer Ragwort (Ligularia dentata), fam. Asteraceae.
Met only in one place of the suburb - in Novorosiiska street (see map). Prefers shady and humid habitats, and even survives flooding, being similar in this to its relative, the forest coltsfoot.
A perennial plant, it spreads its leaves lately, and flowers only from the middle of August. Summer Ragwort propagates by division and by seeds; the seedlings flower from the 3-5-th year.
This is a poisonous plant - it contains carcinogenic pyrrolizidine alkaloids.
