Obedient plant (Physostegia virginiana), fam. Lamiaceae.
   A sturdy, often even aggressive ornamental perennial plant. Its motherland is south-east regions of North America. Blooms in July-August. Propagated from seeds and by division. It grows poorly in shade. The inflorescences keep very well if cut in bouquets.
