Blue Bugle (Ajuga genevensis), fam. Lamiaceae.
Quite abundantly blooms in May in sunny parts of the forest, in clearings. Young shoots and basal leaves can be added to salads, but with caution due to their bitted taste. Blue bugle has antiseptic, antiinflammatory, sudorific, astringent, wound-healing and spasmolytic action, promotes hair growth.
