Alpine Squill (Scilla bifolia)

Alpine Squill (Scilla bifolia), fam. Hyacinthaceae.
It is easy to confuse with Hyacinth, but can be distinguished by little delicate flowers (most often blue) and thin leaves, as well as earlier start of blooming. Though the Russian/Ukrainian name may be understood as "forest flower", it never grows wild around Kyiv, and occurs in the city garden beds only.
