Ninebark (Physocarpus opulifolius), fam. Rosaceae.
This bush is sometimes grown in the city, and often forms groups and even impenetrable thickets in the forest. It blooms in May, and in autumn is distinguished by its lightweight rattle-like fruits. Children may enjoy playing with these fruits. The plant is not pretentious, it easily goes through pruning and replanting – moreover, these procedures are quite desirable to keep the ornamental qualities of the bushes. There are also purple-leaf varieties in the city.
