Daylily (Hemerocallis)

Daylily, hybrid (Hemerocallis), fam. Amaryllidaceae or Hemerocallidaceae.
It is often called "lily", but this plant differs from the true lilies by a number of features.
Each flower lives only one day in June and has no smell. Daylily is unpretentious and quite widespread in the suburb. In one place, the bed with the plants was covered by asphalt; however, they managed to break through easily within the first year, and since then they do not concede to the analogous plants in other areas – possibly, owing to plenty of water that flows on them straight from the roof of the house. Most photos are actually from that place.
